Tryout & Makeup Dates

Tryout Dates (2-Day Event for Each Age Group)

Ages 8U–13U:
- Day 1: Tuesday, July 22 (outdoor)
- Day 2: Wednesday, July 23 (indoor)
Ages 14U–17U:
- Day 1: Tuesday, July 29 (outdoor)
- Day 2: Wednesday, July 30 (indoor)

Day 1 Schedule:

Check-In: 4:30–5:00 pm
Tryouts: 5:00–7:00 pm
Location: Madison College Soccer Field

Day 2 Schedule:

Time: 5:00–7:00 pm
Location: Edge Baseball Academy
403 Venture Ct, #5, Verona, WI 53593

Makeup Tryouts:

8U–13U: Wednesday, July 15, 5–7 pm
14U–17U: Wednesday, July 15, 7-9 pm (may end early depending on turnout)

Cost

10U and under: Free (must complete a registration form)
11U and older: $65 per player
Each player will receive a tryout t-shirt.

Private Tryouts:
Players may request a confidential, private tryout before the official dates.

What to bring

Baseball pants
Tennis or turf shoes (no cleats)
Hat, glove, bat, helmet
Catchers: Bring your catching gear

Day 1 Details

Outdoor Tryout (All Positions)

What We’ll Evaluate:

Running: 60-yard dash, home-to-first times
Infield: Throws to 1st base, velocity
Outfield: Throws from left field to home, velocity
Catchers: Pop times, throws to bases

Check-In Instructions:
Check in at the sign-in table near the soccer field concessions to get your t-shirt and directions.

Parent Meeting:
All parents must attend a meeting from 6:30–7:00 pm in the soccer field grandstand.

Rain Plan:
If needed, tryouts will move indoors to Edge Baseball Academy (403 Venture Ct, #5, Verona, WI 53593). Dates and times will stay the same.
