2025 EDGE BASEBALL TEAM TRYOUT DATES AND TIMES
Days: Tuesday July 16th, and Wednesday July 17th (8U-14U);
Tuesday July 30th, and Wednesday July 31st (15U-17U)
**Tryouts are a two day event**
Cost: 9U and under players are free (must fill out a form still)
$65 per player
a try out t-shirt will be provided to each player
Players can request a fully confidential, private tryout before their tryout date.
Players should bring/wear baseball pants, tennis/turf shoes (no cleats), hat, glove, bat, helmet; Catchers should bring gear.
TUESDAY, JULY 16th
AGES: 8U-14U
Time: 8U- 14U: Check in: 4:30- 5 pm, Tryouts: 5 pm- 7 pm
This tryout will be held at Madison College on their Soccer field. This portion of the tryout we will be evaluating all positions. Players will need their gloves, baseball pants, t-shirt and hat. Catchers bring gear if you have it. Players will be evaluated their speed from home to first and their 60 yard dash time. All players will be evaluated on their infield and outfield mechanics. We will get players velos from each position. Catchers will be evaluated on their pop times and throw downs to bases as well.
What's happening: Running: 60's, Home to First times; Infield: Throws across the field to First base, and velos; Outfield: Throws from Left Field to Home, and velos; Catchers: Pop times

Check-in: When arriving at the facility, please check in at our sign in table/ Concessions by the Soccer field and you will then receive your Edge Baseball t-shirt. You will be directed where to go from there.
Parent Meeting: All parents will need to be available from 6:30- 7 pm for a parent meeting in the grand stand of Madison College's Soccer Field.
Rain outs: Rain outs or any inclement weather that would result in us not being able to have the try outs outside. We would then move the try outs to our Edge Baseball facility in Verona. The tryout days would stay the same for the age groups, and the times would also stay the same for each age group.

WEDNESDAY JULY 17th
AGES: 8U-14U
Times: 8U-14U: Tryouts: 5 pm- 7 pm
This try out will be held at Edge Baseball Academy indoor facility. This portion of the tryout we will be evaluating pitchers, catchers and hitters. Players will need their gloves, bats, helmets, baseball pants, t-shirt and hat. Catchers bring gear if you have it. Players will be evaluated on their swings in the cage, with live Rapsodo metrics. We will take exit velocities and evaluate swing mechanics during the hitting portion. Pitchers will be evaluated on their pitching mechanics and velocities of all pitches, with live Rapsodo metrics. Catchers will also be evaluated on their catching mechanics during this time.
What's happening: Hitting: Exit Velos off a tee, and a batting practice round; Catchers: receiving bullpens; Pitchers: You will throw a bullpen
